About Us
Dr. “Chris” Christine Ferderer, DVM
Owner/Operator:
The Blair Small Animal Clinic has been serving Blair, Nebraska and the surrounding communities since 1991. In February of 2024, Dr. “Chris” Christine Ferderer, DVM purchased the clinic from Dr. David Johnson, DVM and the transition happened very quickly and smoothly thanks to the wonderful staff. Dr. Chris is a graduate of Kansas State University and has been serving the greater Omaha area in Elkhorn, Council Bluffs, and now Blair, since graduation. She has a passion for giving animals the longest, healthiest lives so her clients can enjoy the bond they’ve formed with their furry friends for as long as possible.
Dr. Chris likes to name her dogs after star constellations and currently has three Rhodesian Ridgebacks named Dorado, Sagittarius (Sage), and her newest addition, Carina. Dr. Chris' beloved animals that have passed over the Rainbow Bridge include her feisty cats (Painter, Bruce, and "Tang" Tanqueray), her loyal dogs (Noble, Orion, "Cassie" Cassiopeia, and "Ann" Andromeda), and her beautiful horse (Phoenix).
